Dawn was stretched out on one of the couches and flipping through channels.

"Oooh, sharks."

After a few minutes, she was feeling a bit hungry, so she got up to make herself a sandwich. Any resemblance between the song she was humming and the Teeth theme song was purely coincidental.

Parker facepalmed. "Ah. And... more sympathy."

"S'okay," Cally said. "As far as things go, nothing's as bad as the second degree burns from Zombie weekend."

Parker cocked her head, thinking. "I've had two sprained ankles since I've gotten here, but I hate the gremlin bites, spells, and possessions more. I'll take pain over humiliation any day."

"And on that front? Pageant. Nothing is worse than the pageant," Cally said. "Even making out with your girlcrush's sorta-boyfriend."

She facepalmed. "I said that out loud, didn't I?"

"Okay, you *might*, possibly, have a point there. At least the audience couldn't tell we were possessed during the play."

Parker returned the facepalm. "And all dots are now connected, yes, Cally." She sighed. "This is really getting to you, isn't it."

"Things don't get better, they only get weirder," Cally said. "There's actually a piece of the puzzle you're missing, though."

Do I want to know? Parker wondered, then sighed. "Please don't tell me there's a fourth to you guy's Magic Circle, please."

Cally shook her head. "No, nothing like that."

"Whew. Good to know."

"It's complicated enough as it is, really."

"I'm getting that. And again, the photos-- totally your property." Parker sighed. "I don't want to find out anything else. It's none of Anders' business, but I don't like keeping secrets from friends."

"Yeah, and Anders' brain is kinda fragile cause of the whole fact that he's, like, secretly older than me." Cally said.

Parker wasn't sure she heard that right. Or Cally said it right. "He what excuse me hunh?"

"You know how people are from slightly different times and stuff?"

"Ohhh. Hunh. Like Angela and Marty?" Parker rubbed her eyes, frowning. "How did you guys find out? And why didn't you know before?"

"Anders tried to give me a brand new book from his trip home," Cally said. "And it was about a ship which has been updated two times since then. Guess dates never really came up before. It's been weird, what with the different calendar, you know?"

Parker facepalmed. "That makes sense. And if you're from Earth, it's practically the first thing you get asked, after 'how weird is your hometown'?" She shook her head. "So how secret is it that he's secretly some ten years older than you? Should I not be mentioning this? I can't see it making a difference, really...."

Cally shook her head. "It's fine," she said. "Tell whoever, if you like. It's just still the shock factor and all."
