The Gym; Late Tuesday Afternoon (post-workshops)

To say that Sakurazaki was a little nervous about this was an understatement. However, she knew that if she had rushed straight into the salle with her wings out to practise with Yuunagi, there could be trouble. She had to refamiliarize herself with her flight techniques slowly, by the use of the practise swords in the gym. Besides, there was much more room in the gym than down in the salle, so she'd have more space to work with, and it was much to hot to take it outside with a stick.

Sakurazaki was working on her tougher forms again, but this time, she was doing them in the air, in flight. And hoping that she hadn't missed some rule about such training. She figured she was at least out of everyone's way like this.

Cameron entered the gym and smiled as he saw Setsuna working. He gave her a small wave, not sure if she was paying attention but wanting to say hi anyway and moved towards one of the benches to do some weight lifting.

Sakurazaki was definately a little more conscious of the door than usual, but receiving a smile and a wave were relaxing. She gives a wave of her hand and slight flap of her wings back, returning to her work, timidly at first, but eventually easing back into her concentration.

Wait. Flapping. Cameron blinked as he finally paid more attention to the scene. Not that he hadn't seen a student with wings before, he just didn't realise Sestuna had them.

Veronica arrived for her self-defense lessons with Cameron, giving Sakurazaki a small wave.

"No fake injuries today, right?" she greeted Cameron.

Cameron finished his bench press, putting the weight down and then sat up, looking at her thoughtfully. "I don't know. Let me thing... I don't believe there's a surprise party planned, so I think we're good for today."

"Good," Veronica smiled. "Because I would probably end up tasering you and Dr. Troy if you pulled another stunt like that."

"I don't doubt it," he pushed up from the bench and moved towards. "I say it was worth it, you looked pretty happy."

Veronica smiled. "It was a good night. Once I realized you weren't in danger of dying or anything."

"I'm guessing Archie showing up helped too," he remarked with a small smile.

"I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present," Veronica admitted with a grin. "Thank you though. For being there. It means a lot."

Walter was there after work for his sparring with Joxer and Nadia. He raised an eyebrow to see Sakurazaki actually flying in the gym, then gave her a wave while he warmed up and waited for his sparring partners.

Sakurazaki could see a raised eyebrow from a mile away with how nervous she was at the moment; hopefully, the same won't be said for other people noticing her slight scowl. But she waves back, little showy flutter of the wings as if to say, yeah, get used to 'em, and then back to focus on all her little slashings and flippings and flyings.

Walter is trained in observing such things, the scowl might as well have been plastered on a billboard. However, he didn't understand her reason for it. He continued stretching while watching her work with interest and considering how he would best counter what she was doing.

Nadia showed up not in the least bit late or anything despite the fact that work has been busy enough for it to seem otherwise. She done some working out that morning, so she just leaned against the wall for now and stretched while she waited.

Walter looked up from his spot on the floor bent over his knees and smiled. "Hey. I'm just waiting on Joxer."

Nadia nodded. "Take your time. I hope he doesn't chicken out on you."

"That would be a bad idea. I'd have to go find him and I wouldn't be as gentle." Walter smiled to make a joke of it.

Nadia grinned back. "Well, he might still be recovering from when I sparred with him last night."

"I hope you left some for me." Then Joxer came in (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/737257.html?thread=51477993#t51477993) and Walter bounced up off the floor. "I guess you did."

Joxer showed up, having rested up from his severe beating battle with Nadia the previous day.

"So, we ready to go at it?"

Walter raised an eyebrow at Joxer's word choice. "I'm ready to spar with you, yes."

Joxer cracked his knuckles and stretched out a bit. "You think the armor's too much? I can take it off, if you want."

"You can take it off if you want to."

Wait.

"The armor! You can take the armor off. Or leave it on. Either is fine."

Joxer took off his helmet and set it aside.

"I think I'll leave it on for now. We'll see if you can't penetrate my defense, and then maybe I'll take it off."

Walter bounced on his toes and grinned. "I don't think penetration will be a problem, but we'll see."

He held up his hands and watched Joxer carefully. "Ready when you are."
