Isabel sat on the counch watching March of the Penguins hoping a movie about Antartica would help her not think about how hot it was. It wasn't working.

"Yeah, I get that part. But why get cover ID's and go live normal lives if the plan was to send you guys back when you grew up? Why not just stay with SPD themselves?"

It must've been a long time ago, if Sky's dad was still alive, Xander recalls Bridge saying on the night Z'd found the picture of their parents together.

"So not necessarily the safest place to try to raise kids, maybe, huh?"

"Like those full-face thingies Conner and Anders were wearing at Caritas? They gave that to a little kid?" Xander raises an eyebrow. "That's... okay I guess I can't talk from creepy, 'cause dude, Sunnydale. But still."

"LIke I said, I can't talk from morbid considering I grew up in a town where people raise their dead relatives from the grave and try to build-a-girfriend for them, among other healthy ways of coping with loss," Xander points out. "But I can see where your parents might've thought it was a good idea to let you grow up somewhere safer than SPD."
