Dorm Courtyard, Tuesday evening

Peter sat under a tree, reading a Ratguy & Sparrow, the Boy Marvel trade paperback. This was the classic storyline where the fans actually called an 800 number to vote for Sparrow's death. Comic fans were demented in the 80's.

Mainly he was just enjoying the evening. It was so peaceful out here...

[OOC: Here for someone in particular to ruin that peace, but open.]

"PARKER!" Kawalsky yelled. It probably wasn't the best idea to announce his presence if he wanted to beat the hell out of his opponent, but he was more interested in a confrontation than anything else. He ran towards Peter when he saw him and was ready to grab him and slam him up against a wall if he could get close enough.

"What's up?" Kawalsky asked incredulously. "How's about your 'little' prank. You think that's *funny*?" He tried to find a way up the tree, too angry to just stand still.

"I prank you, you prank me. That's how it goes. The Charlene thing? That was funny. I can go with that." He was failing miserably to get up the tree and it was only fuelling his anger. "But this time went too far, pal. If you're tough enough to pull that stunt, how's about you come down here and we settle this on equal ground."

"You seriously think this is still nothing?" He went to grab Peter.

"A nerve?" He was still a little pissed. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." Kawalsky tried to grab him again.

Now K was getting somewhat embarassed that he kept missing. He needed to cool down, so he took a step back. "The nerve that went all tingly when you put those snakes in my room!" he barked. Maybe not so much with the cooling down.

Kawalsky was ready to bite back, but that wasn't the response he was expecting. He stopped mid-way through saying something. "Well if it wasn't you, who was it?" A completely reasonable question in his mind even though he was asking it to the wrong person. "You know it was me that did your room last night. Who else would retaliate? Shorty?"

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Darn reason. Darn it to heck! "What reasons?" he asked with a surly expression. Now he wasn't so much angry at Peter as confused, a little sulky and a tad hungry.

"I don't have-" Kawalsky started, then shut up. "Oh. You? I knew there was that weird sticky stuff when you stuck my bed to the ceiling, but I thought that was a geek thing."

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Kawalsky paused. He had a point. "I thought maybe you were a really good gymnast and didn't want to give you a hard time about it, okay?" Sometimes Charles Kawalsky was not the most attentive person in the world.

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
"You sure you didn't put snakes in my room or tell anyone to or know who did it or have anything to do with it?"

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Kawalsky was now calm. Sort of. He was as calm as he could be considering there were live snakes in his room.

"Okay." He believed Peter. "Then I'm sorry for attacking you."

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Kawalsky coughed. "I was going to ask the janitor to do it."

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Really?" Kawalsky blinked, then nodded. "Yeah. Uh, please. The sooner they're gone, well...yeah."

[identity profile] kawalsky.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Kawalsky nodded and followed Peter, but not before glancing around at the courtyard. If Peter hadn't put the snakes in his room, then someone else had. Someone with a pretty sick sense of humor. Someone who was going to get a mouthful when he found out.

Now if only he could figure out who that someone was.

Walter walked through purposefully, only stopping long enough to hail Peter and ask, "Have you seen Nadia?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Walter shook his head. "No. There may be someone in town looking for her. If any strangers ask after her, could you call me?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-08-23 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Thank you." Walter gave him a tight smile and continued on into the dorms.
