4th Floor Hallway [Tuesday Afternoon]

Since Syd's departure her dorm room has been surprisingly lonely. So Mac has taken a couple of fat beanbags from her newly all-her-own room, a large mug of coffee, and her laptop and has taken up residence in the fourth floor hallway.

She has sustainance, her laptop jingling music at her... and the company of anyone passing by. It's way better than being sat in her dorm room all on her own.

"I'm Naomi Wildman," Naomi replied, "hi, I'd like a cookie please," she adds with a smile

Mac extended her cookie box. "I'm Mac. I live just over there," she added pointing to the room across the corridor. "You new here?"

Naomi took a cookie, "I live in Room 408," she replied, "yeah I'm new to Fandom High, I got here on Sunday,"

"Oh, great. Well, hope you're enjoying it so far." Mac grinned, and sipped at her coffee. "I've been here since the beginning of Spring semester. It feels like I've been here forever now."

"Well ..." Naomi paused, "to tell the truth I wasn't all that happy about coming here to Fandom, it was my parents idea to send me away to school and well ... now that I've been here for a couple of days, I might have been wrong in my initial feelings about the school," she paused again, "now that I've settled in a little, it's not that bad,"

Mac nodded, "It's pretty fun here really. I've made some great friends. You'll learn to love it, gremlins and all."

"It was my choice to come here though, so that might have helped."

Naomi nods and then suddenly something clicks and she asks, "gremlins?" she's been hearing about them a lot and she wonders what role they play in the daily life on Fandom High

"Little green ugly things. They bite, and the effects... well, they're not usually dangerous. You do feel like a complete fool afterwards though." Mac sniggered thinking back, "Yeah, it makes you act a little weird."

"They had an extermination a while back though, there aren't so many around anymore."

"That's a relief," Naomi replied, "the more I hear about this school, the more it makes me realize that I'm not going to have a 'normal' schooling experience as to what my parents hope that I'll have,"

Mac shrugged, "who wants normal when you can have this? Really, you get used to the quirks surprisingly quickly."

"I've never told my parents what goes on here. They'd never understand."

"Yeah I can get that, even though I've only been here for two days," Naomi replied, "even though I've seen a lot of weird stuff in my time and so have my parents, I don't know how in the world I'm ever going to tell them that the school they sent me to is in the year 2006, this would be weird even for them," she shrugged, "maybe they'd be better off not knowing, or at least it would stop them from thinking that I've gone absolutely crazy,"
