4th Floor Hallway [Tuesday Afternoon]

Since Syd's departure her dorm room has been surprisingly lonely. So Mac has taken a couple of fat beanbags from her newly all-her-own room, a large mug of coffee, and her laptop and has taken up residence in the fourth floor hallway.

She has sustainance, her laptop jingling music at her... and the company of anyone passing by. It's way better than being sat in her dorm room all on her own.

Will just blinked a couple times. She'd mostly expected that Naomi was from far off, but she couldn;t have guessed at just how far off.

"Oh, wow. I've met a couple people who are either from other worlds or are from a few years off, but 400 sounds like a huge amount. Are you adjusting to this time and place okay?"

Naomi gave a smile, "it was a shock when I first discovered the temporaral displacement of Fandom High, this is my first time going to an actual proper school and I have to say that I wasn't all that happy when I learnt that my parents were sending me here, but after a couple of days here at the school it seems all right," Naomi gave a slight shrug as she thought about it, "adjusting to new situations isn't one of my strong points but my parents asked me to give this place a go, so I like to think that I'm doing rather well considering,"

"And that's about the best we can all say so far," Will replied, smiling at Naomi. "I'm told it can get pretty weird around here though. At the orientation, my Big Sister said something about snow monsters and gremlins and even dragons made of Jello attacking people."

Will took another bite of her cookie. "But hey, even with all the weirdness, it's kind of a nice place."

"Yeah my Big Sister told me about the Gremlins," Naomi responsed, smiling back at Will, "even though we didn't exactly meet up at Orientation as we couldn't find each other then, she told me later when we met up though, it seems like a nice place," Naomi agreed, "this place is definitely weird, but weird can be good,"

"Yeah. Whenever it's not trying to attack you, or fry you alive, or trap you in a maze of constantly shifting sand filled with plant monsters, weird can be good." She raised her glass towards Naomi. "And let's hope this year goes good."

Naomi nodded as well, "A good year would be great," she replied, even though she had a slight feeling that it wasn't going to go as smoothly as she would like.

As Will finished up her chocolate cookie, her eyes managed to see the time on the watch on her wrist. "Ooh, I should get going. It was nice meeting you, Naomi! I'll see you around, right?"

"Yeah I'll be around," Naomi nodded, "It was nice meeting you to Will, I'm actually in room 408 if you ever want to come up here sometime again,"
