Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday around lunch time

Nadia was wearing one of those doofy expressions that probably told just about everyone what she'd been up to the night before.

Her laptop was open on the table, along with her adventure story, but she was busy cooking.

Chicken empanadas, egg and bacon burritos, hot sauce entirely optional. And if no one showed up to eat it all?

Well, she'd have lots of leftovers for the week.

"Maybe. Do you speak mutated Japanese?" Z asked doubtfully.

"Um, no. But I do know at least a little bit of most European languages and a tiny bit of Chinese. And most languages have really similar structures."

"If you want to give it a crack, you're welcome to try. SPD's supposed to send me some primers and stuff. If all else fails I'll ask Bridge to translate the darn thing."
