Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday around lunch time

Nadia was wearing one of those doofy expressions that probably told just about everyone what she'd been up to the night before.

Her laptop was open on the table, along with her adventure story, but she was busy cooking.

Chicken empanadas, egg and bacon burritos, hot sauce entirely optional. And if no one showed up to eat it all?

Well, she'd have lots of leftovers for the week.

"You know, I can smell this all the way down on the second floor," John says, wandering in. He's restless today, prone to wandering.

Nadia turned to smile at him. "You want some?"

"Hey John," Marty said with a wave. "What's the good word?"

"Fif floor got all the good cooks." Pippi said tartly from behind a mouthful of breakfast.

Realizing she probably wasn't going to get attacked by a gremlin or zombie in the near future, Summer decided it was time to leave her room. So she wandered into the common room to socialize. "Hi."

"Hi! New student? I'm Nadia. Want an empanada?"

[ooc: btw, Nadia speaks with a fairly think South American accent. I'm not about to write it phonetically though.]

"Hi," Marty replied with a wave. "New Person?"

Berthold decided to approach a new human, hoping that this person would understand him. Still hidden under his blanket he extended one of his many tentacles and gently poked a human with long hair.

"Foooooood," Joxer said, wandering into the common room that was so-not-his-own.

"You're very observant. Burrito? Empanada?"

Marty saw the weird guy who tried to talk to him during the quiet weekend and tried to avoid eye contact.

So apparently Peter was right about the free food. Because here it was, and here Carmela was.

"Hello!" she waves.

"Hi. I'm Nadia. Are you new?" Nadia waved to some of her finished empanadas. "And feel free to have something to eat."

After getting over caffinated at the Perk this morning, Marty is working off his excess energy by checking out the dorm and seeing any new people that might be around.

"Hey Santos," Marty said looking warily at the lunch she was preparing. "What's cooking?"

"Marty!" Nadia grinned. "Empanadas and burritos, hot sauce optional. How've you been?"

"Oh goody," Pip said. "I don't have to cook for myself."

"Of course not. Though if you wanted to make crepes, I wouldn't object,"

Pete wandered into the common room, on his continued trek to find food he didn't have to kill himself.

"I thought I smelled Mexican,"

"Excuse me?" Nadia scowled. "I'm from Argentina."

"Yay food indeed!" Nadia held out a plate with an empanada. "Hot sauce or no?"

Briar actually lived on the fifth floor, so showing up in the common room was not that strange. Plus, free food.

Zuko had smelled food and his stomach had told him that he was hungry, so he made his way up to the fifth floor for the first time. He'd never actually quite been into a common room before so he lingered at the door, taking in the amount of other people and looking very much like he was changing his mind about entering.

Nadia waved to the newbie. "Hi! I'm Nadia. Have an empanada!"

The nice smell of empanadas had reached all the way to Bertholds room. Well, technically it was River's and Buffy's room, but Berthold didn't worry about that. Making sure he was adequately covered with his blanket ha made his way to the common room.

Nadia watched the moving blanket carefully, hand resting on the taser at her hip.

"Hey, guys, what's--food!" Z said happily. Then she saw what the food was. "Oooh, I haven't had a good empanada since I got here."

"Well, you've obviously been hanging out on the wrong floors, then." Nadia served up an empanada happily. "Hot sauce?"

When you were very small, it was hard to climb all those stairs from the second floor to the fifth. But Zero smelled food, so it was worth it. The wee kitten perched on the back of a chair and said, "Mreeep." //Feed me, petty humans.//

Cutest. Thing. Ever. "Hey kitty, do you want some chicken? Who's your person?"

Chad thought he had smelled empanadas; then he saw the hot sauce, and knew he'd come to the right place.

It couldn't be too certain if the rumbling gave from his stomach, or if he was just mumbling a greeting to everyone.

Like a magnet, JD followed the smell of food into the common room.

"Hi!" Nadia was starting to feel a bit like a welcome wagon. Good thing she made lots of food. "Have a burrito! I'm Nadia."

Will made her way back up to the same common room from last night, and was only slightly less surprised this time to find a crowd of people there.

"More free food? I guess people here must just love to cook. Or do I have to do something to have some?"

"All I ask is that if you're new, you tell me your name and put up with me being friendly." Nadia smiled and offered an empanada and a burrito to the new girl. "I'm Nadia, by the way."
