Fifth Floor Common Room, Wednesday around lunch time

Nadia was wearing one of those doofy expressions that probably told just about everyone what she'd been up to the night before.

Her laptop was open on the table, along with her adventure story, but she was busy cooking.

Chicken empanadas, egg and bacon burritos, hot sauce entirely optional. And if no one showed up to eat it all?

Well, she'd have lots of leftovers for the week.

"So what brings you here to Fandom?" Marty asked.

"One of my friends got herself into some trouble, so my dad sent me here. Less chance of her being a bad influence on me or something," Summer explained. "How long have you been here?"

"Almost a year," Marty replied. "It was a bit of a culture shock when I first arrived but I love almost everybody here now. Though we certainly have our own share of trouble."

"I can see how it's a culture shock," Summer said. "But it must be a special place if people are still here despite the trouble."

"Well we're not all exactly normal," Marty replied. "So that might have something to do with it."

Summer nodded. "At least everyone I met so far has been nice and welcoming."
