Second Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

Not wanting to disturb Edward by making lots of noise in their dorm room, Shawn has taken himself and his guitar along to the second floor common room.

He sorted himself some toast, surprisingly without setting fire to anything, and is now lounged out on a sofa strumming away and humming quietly to himself.

Shawn grinned, "Wow, that's pretty impressive stuff for Summer camp workshops. Question is, were you any good at it?"

"The actual flying was pretty easy," Marie said. "But landings are kind of tricky."

"I'll have to remember that the next time I'm left in charge of a spaceship," Shawn said with a grin. "I think anyone trying to teach me to fly is taking their life in their hands, though."

"What classes did you get?"

"Music, Astronomy and Myth in History," Marie said. "What about you?"

"Astronomy, Health... and Applied Science." He pulled a face, "I'm not entirely sure how the science got in there."

"Oh, we have a class together," Marie smiled. "I'm not really into science, but I took astronomy over the summer and the teacher is really nice."

"I took Astronomy in the first half of the summer," He shrugged, "it seemed pretty interesting. It's just that applied science makes me think of chem lab."

"You did?" Marie asked. "That's when I was in it. We must have just missed each other."

"Really? Huh. Just proves how totally oblivious I can be I guess," Shawn said with a grin. "I'll make sure I remember to look out for you this time."

"Me too, apparently," Marie said. "But, yeah, definitely have to say hi this time. Maybe we can study together sometimes."

Shawn grinned, "That'd be good. At least I now know that I'm in a class with someone I've met."

"Are you living on this floor? Or just taking a break from your own?"

"I live all the way up on five," Marie said. "I just wandered until I found a common room with people."

"I get that, I was up on five the other night," He added, "I tend to go where the people are, keeps me from getting bored."

"Our common room has been pretty busy lately," Marie said. "But it's fun getting out and meeting new people."

"Yeah, I tried for that last night, with the whole leaving school grounds thing," Shawn said nodding. "First thing I found was Blair wearing a trash bag in the park."

Marie paused. "That shouldn't really surprise me," she said. "Blair's unique."

"That's what I told him." Shawn shrugged, "each to his own I suppose. Not my thing I have to say."
