Second Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

Not wanting to disturb Edward by making lots of noise in their dorm room, Shawn has taken himself and his guitar along to the second floor common room.

He sorted himself some toast, surprisingly without setting fire to anything, and is now lounged out on a sofa strumming away and humming quietly to himself.

Marie was restless and still had a lot on her mind. Not wanting to disturb Willow, she went wandering through the dorms. The sound of music attracted her attention and she made her way to the second floor common room.

She stood quietly in the doorway so as not to disturb the boy.

It took Shawn a couple of minutes to actually notice that anyone was watching him, but when he did he stopped playing and smiled at the girl apologetically. "Sorry, didn't notice you there. I'm not in the way or anything am I?"

"No," Marie smiled. "I was just wandering and decided to listen. I hope I'm not disturbing you."

Sam walked into the common room, barely noticing anyone else who was in the room since she was too busy staring in horror at the schedule in her hands and muttering, "What happened to my science classes? And interstellar relations? What the...Ethics? Music? Media and Communications? Dance? Maybe I could just get someone to shoot me..."

Shawn supressed a grin at the girl's horror. "That bad, huh?" he asked.

"You have no idea," Sam grumbled, then looked a little sheepish. "Sorry, hi, I'm Sam Carter. Are you new?"

"I'm taking music," Marie smiled.

Sam stopped talking to herself. "It's not that music's bad...it's that I can't sing or play an instrument and never would have picked it."

"I'd rather offer you coffee," Anders called from the counter.

"That'll help, but it's not going to solve my problem," Sam got a clean mug out of the cupboard, still staring at the piece of paper in her hand. "Ethics? And dance? Anders, you can see how bad an idea this is--there's no wrenches or grease anywhere in my curriculum."

Of course, on the bright side, there was also no cooking.

Anders wandered in, sleepy, content-looking, and cradling a pound of coffee, from his room next door. "'s music," he observed as he set about making a pot of caffeinated joy. "Hi."

Shawn grinned, more people, always good. He's pretty perky even without caffeine. "Morning."

"Hey, guy with guitar who lives down the hall," Anders replied, yawning. "Anything interesting going on?"

Marie gave Anders a hesitant wave. She was still slightly uncomfortable around him because of the whole Conner thing.

Anders had a feeling she'd be awkward around him because of the situation with Conner, and tried to make his smile and wave in return as friendly as possible. "Hey, Marie."

"Hey, Daisy." Parker cracked her jaw yawning, then poured a cup. "Your coffee? Yay coffee."

Returning from his morning run, Cameron sagged down in the nearest available chair and waved at the room. Maybe he shouldn't have run quite that far.

"Morning, Cameron," Sam waved her coffee at him, being careful not to spill any. "How far?"

Marie waved. "Hi, Cameron. How've you been?"

Shawn chuckled, "Just remember that it's good for you. Even when your legs feel like they're going to give out."

"Hey, Cam-boy." Parker would've ruffled his hair, but ew. Sweat. "How's it going?"

"Mitchell," Anders said, waving him over to the coffee pot. "What's goin' on?"

Parker came in a bit later, sunglasses on top of her head, looking for coffee, dressed for corporate takeovers. Or, possibly, punk rock band auditions.

Sam, already at the coffee pot, used it to gesture to Parker. "Over here."

Shawn smiled, "I think Anders is your go to guy on that count," he told her.
