Second Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

Not wanting to disturb Edward by making lots of noise in their dorm room, Shawn has taken himself and his guitar along to the second floor common room.

He sorted himself some toast, surprisingly without setting fire to anything, and is now lounged out on a sofa strumming away and humming quietly to himself.

"Yeah, I only have one class, before lunch. Meet you in the Danger Shop afterwards, if it's not busy?"

"Sure, sounds good," he bounced a little in excitement.

"You're so enthusiastic, Mitchell," Sam teased. "Your academy superiors will love that."

"You think so?" he smiled. "Maybe they'd like a ride on my swoopbike too."

"Er...." Sam thought about that. "Better not." But if he ever ended up at the SGC, they'd be very interested.

"Yeah, I guess that whole 'alien vehicle' thing might break their brains?"

"Just a little. Or there'd be fights for rides. Or both."

"That'd be bad," he said, tilting his head. "The swoopbike's supposed to be all about love."

"...it is?" This was news to Sam.

"Sure," he nodded and started ticking off things on his fingers. "Love for speed, for road trips, for cool bikes, for leather jacket..." He paused. "And if chicks happen to like it..."

Sam burst out laughing.

Cameron laughed. "What? It's a plan!"

"Cameron..." Sam just shook her head, obviously amused. "So I'm really just helping you pick up chicks?"

"Noooo," he said quickly. "That would be a perk. I'm in it for the speed and the leather jacket."

"Spoken like a true flyboy," Sam smirked.

Cameron laughed, but now he really wanted to know. "So... Do girls really like the bike?"

"I know I do," Sam said, "but I don't think I count as a typical girl. You might have to ask someone else."

"But I like non-typical girls so it works," he assured her.

"Then yes, non-typical girls like the bike," Sam told him. "And you should offer whatever girl you're interested in the chance to drive it with you riding behind her."

"Wait," he frowned. "I thought the girl was supposed to sit behind you?"

Sam thwapped him. "This is not an eighties movie, Cameron."

"What? Isn't it hard to drive like that?" he asked and then got slightly distracted at the thought of having something sit in front of you and... Yeah.

Cameron frowned. "Should I trust other people with it, though? I don't want it getting crashed." He looked at Sam and then quickly corrected himself. "Not that I'm saying that girls can't drive. Just... I'd trust you with it, but not every girl is you and good at piloting."

"You can always teach them," Sam suggested, "and it'll give you something to talk about."
