Second Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

Not wanting to disturb Edward by making lots of noise in their dorm room, Shawn has taken himself and his guitar along to the second floor common room.

He sorted himself some toast, surprisingly without setting fire to anything, and is now lounged out on a sofa strumming away and humming quietly to himself.

"Cameron Mitchell, Amazing Parachuting Stickbug." Anders nodded. "It's got a ring to it. You'd be a good mascot for the cause, or something."

"Do I get my own group of cheerleaders?" he wondered.

Anders snapped his fingers. "Considering the basketball game got called on account of lava, I bet you could borrow the Blue and Gold Gremlins. They'd probably hate to let all that practicing go to waste."

"I could do a whole lot worse," Cameron grinned. "I'm sad the game got cancelled, though. It was a good season."

"A little short, but yeah. But I bet you could play basketball year round and it wouldn't be enough for you." Anders nodded. "Not that I'm not the same about Pyramid, 'course."

"Well, I'm always up for a one on one," he said. "And you really should show me how to do the Pyramid thing."

"Oh, yeah, we'll definitely have to do that some day soon," agreed Anders. "Parker's having way too much fun kicking my ass."

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "You're sparring with Parker?"

"Sparring? Dude, no! I haven't sparred with anyone since Thrace left. Parker just plays Pyramid with me sometimes."

He blinked. "Parker's kicking your ass at Pyramid?"

"I think it's beginner's luck," Anders said quickly. "I'm going easy on her, after all."

"If she's kicking your ass, I think that means you can go less easy before she gets too cocky," Cameron joked.

"You might be on to something there," Anders said. "Lords know she's got enough dirt on me to use as ammo as it is."

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "I'm not even going to ask," he decided.

"Hey!" Anders protested, laughing. "Speaking of which, I oughtta go get in a workout or something."

"I've done mine for this morning," Cameron decided.

"Yeah, I've been slacking this summer. Can't do that any more, with classes starting." Anders sighed, washed his coffee mug, and put it away. "Off for a run for me, now. Later, man."
