Fourth Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

Joxer was in the kitchen area, scrounging up foodstuffs to prepare an apology breakfast for Agnes. Thankfully for Agnes and the world in general, he was unable to find any turnips.

So here he was, making toast in the toasty-machine, and pouring a big bowl of chocolate cereal.

There'd probably be enough cereal and toast to share with more than just his roommate, too.

[ooc: Oooopen!]

After dressing and talking a little to the frog about how much smarter it was than a boy, Agnes entered the common room and went to see what Joxer was preparing.

"What is this stuff?" she asked, poking a finger at the brown lumps in a bowl.

Agnes looked at it sceptically and picked up a piece to pop it in her mouth. "Oh, it is...."

Maybe Joxer had something going for him after all. "Thank you."

"They have machines just to make toast here?" Agnes asked, leaning to peer into the toaster. "Do they have machines to do everything?"

Having slept in, Cedric wandered down to the common room later than usual and was pleasantly surprised to see people already down there.

"Good...afternoon," he said after a pause. "I'm not used to sleeping this late."

"It's kind of you you cook," Cedric said and wandered over. "Cereal, I think. I've not had that in quite awhile. How are you?"

"Oh, were you ill before?" Cedric asked, taking the cereal with a smile.

Agnes looked up from examining the toaster and bit her lip before smiling at the new arrival. "Hello. New student or old?"

"Fairly new," Cedric answered. "I arrived at the start of the summer session. Hello. Cedric Diggory."

"Agnes Nitt. I just arrived last week."

Perdita had a comment that Agnes summarily ignored, even if her cheeks turned a little pink.

"Oh, welcome then," Cedric said happily. "Are you settling in all right?"

Broots made his way over to the coffee pot and nodded to everyone in the room.

"Good afternoon," Cedric smiled. "How are you?"

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Coffee." Broots replied and reached for a mug. "You?"

[identity profile] chasingsnitches.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, thank you for asking," Cedric replied. "Did you not sleep well?"

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Broots glared. "I did. It's the waking up part that's a problem." He poured two cups of coffee and handed one to Cedric.

"Looking for breakfast, you?"

[identity profile] singasoloduet.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Agnes nodded back and leaned down to listen to her cereal. Was it crackling?

[identity profile] dorky-broots.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Broots blinked. "Are you listening to your cereal?"

[identity profile] singasoloduet.livejournal.com 2006-09-02 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's making noise," Agnes said. "Food shouldn't make noise unless it's just off the spit."
