Roof, Sunday Night
Pip was up on the roof plunking on his guitar, staring up into the stars.
Jesus. Poor Marie. And to think he started this day planning on soaking everyone.

"You were born like this." It wasn't a question, just one of those things that might be intuition, or might be a touch of magic.

Sakurazaki nodded, keeping her head down. "That's right."

"It's okay," she said quietly. "I know they're kind of different. I usually don't keep them out." They were drawing in closer to her back as she considered possibly putting them away again.

She tried to explain it the way she had to Jack. "Witches' magic is more about finding the cracks in things and putting wedges in them. Not so easy to see."

"Technically speaking?" she said, turning her head a little so Agnes would see that she was serious and not trying to make a joke or stupid comment. "Real life training. I was sent here to try and learn how to be a 'normal' girl, because Konoko-Ojou-sama thought I'd had way too much of the swords and the spying and the missions in Japan, and that it prevented me from ever just being me."

"I- It sounds very romantic. Which means dangerous and trying." She nodded decisively. "Some time at school sounds like just the trick."
Not that she had a clue about most of what Sakurazaki had said, but the point was still evident.

"It...it's been good for me, definately."

What was more normal than talking about school?
"Which classes are you taking? I'm a little nervous about tomorrow."
