He waited for her to have a few seconds of free fall before launching himself off the edge, hooting delightedly.

Walter let Nadia fall as far as he thought he could safely permit before throwing out a handful of wire to catch her gently, and the other handful to start the process of catch and release on the side of the building that would bring them both safely to the ground.

Nadia smiled as she felt the now-familiar brushes of wires slow her descent. Roberto had been very impressed when they'd done the parachuting lessons, and she'd already been familiar with jumping from great heights.
Not that she'd ever told him why. . . .

Really, these jumps never lasted long enough, and too soon he had to give Nadia a last adjustment to make sure she landed on her feet and made the final grab on the building before releasing to it drop down to the grass nearby.
But he did so love how much she loved it.
