Pip was up on the roof plunking on his guitar, staring up into the stars.

Jesus. Poor Marie. And to think he started this day planning on soaking everyone.

Pip was impressed. He finished off the guitar solo and clapped.

Agnes didn't blush. Much. She covered it by taking a small bow. "When did you learn to play?"

"About seven years ago," Pip said. "Half self-taught, half-kind of taught by a sort of family member."

She leaned closer to get a good look at the strings. "It's a new instrument to me. We have things with strings like that, but they don't sound the same."

Pip nodded and held it up. "This is an electric guitar. Slightly different sound than an acoustic."
