3rd Floor Common Room, Tuesday Late Morning/Early Afternoon

Matilda had woken up a bit late craving pancakes. She had brought along a fairly large box of pancake mix because her mother knew it was her very favorite food. She even had a gigantic bottle of syrup to go along with it. She decided to make some before class. (Un)fortunately she got a bit carried away and made way more than she could eat. She waited around and left the griddle on in case she could find a few people to eat her leftovers.

((ooc: Free until about 1:30 eastern time, gone for class for an hour then back again for the rest of the night))

The corner of Chad's mouth twitched a bit with the beginning of a grin. "Got punched pretty good last night."

"It's just a little sore," he assured her with a nod, chuckling internally. "And I deserved it, so don't feel too bad for me."

Chad looked down at the girl. She was....what, eleven, twelve? He wasn't even going to take another step further on the topic. "Let's just leave it at that I deserved it."

Chad considered the very little girl making pancakes in the common room thoughtfully. "You a student here?" he asked.

"Yasutora Sado," he told her, "but people call me Chad." He paused, wondering if he should ask, but figuring that it couldn't hurt. "You seem a little young for high school, Matilda."

So she wasn't as young as Chad thought she was, but still, he nodded. One of those kids, then. A prodigy, so to speak. "I see. We're in the same class, then."

He nodded, grinning just a little. "I'll make sure not to sit in front of you at the movie theatre, too."

Chad shrugged his heavy shoulders. "The least I can do."
