3rd Floor Common Room, Tuesday Late Morning/Early Afternoon

Matilda had woken up a bit late craving pancakes. She had brought along a fairly large box of pancake mix because her mother knew it was her very favorite food. She even had a gigantic bottle of syrup to go along with it. She decided to make some before class. (Un)fortunately she got a bit carried away and made way more than she could eat. She waited around and left the griddle on in case she could find a few people to eat her leftovers.

Chad's head tilted a little, eyes finally drifting over to Walter as he idly rubbed Pup's tummy. "That includes animals, too? I figured it would just be...well, humanoid species," he admitted, feeling a little embarrassed about the assumption, although he wasn't quite sure, "like Aeryn's or something."

"It's all about animals, actually." Walter started ticking off languages on his fingers. "Last semester I learned Cat, Rat, Dragon, Shark, Lobster, Snake, and Spider. It's been very useful."

"Try next semester. The class was full anyway. My best friend didn't get in."

Pup picked up on Chad's mood shift and started wriggling around on his back, trying to get his attention.

"Which classes are you taking?"

Chad firmly reestablished his more attentative petting with the wriggling, looking back toward Pup as he gave the list. "History, music, government, world religions, and..." He always had to think on the fifth one. "Um, oh, yeah. Science. The one with the exclamation point."

"We don't have any classes together. I'm taking Creature Lnaguages, Prophecy, Hunting, Constant Vigilance, and Dance." Walter grimaced a little on the last. Stupid Arthur.
