Second Floor Common Room [late afternoon/evening]

Rory sat on the couch, idly tossing Vladdie's ball straight up into the air for him to leap up and retrieve.

She also had an eye on the television screen, which was featuring something new every few minutes as Rory's attention span gave out and she changed it.

[Open, yay! Feel free to mod whatever you'd like on the TV, as she's seriously just channel surfing and it's likely to change from thread to thread.]

"Hey," Bridge says eloquently as he flops down on one of the couches.

"Hi," Rory replies, catching the ball as Vladdie flies over to sniff at Bridge and yip a hello. "How goes it?"

"It... goes?" Bridge offers with a shrug as he reaches over to offer Vladdie scritches.

Dean was walking by the common room on his way upstairs when he caught sight of a leaping dog, and decided to see who else was around. "Hey, Rory!" he said with a smile, taking a seat on the couch and eyeing the dog. "Who's this?"

"Have you enjoyed your classes so far?" Rory asks, because that's a topic that's not going to depress either of them. Probably.

Vladdie, meanwhile, is very much pro-scritch, and expresses this by wagging his very fluffy tail so much that it's a blur.

Shawn wandered into the common room and dropped onto a sofa, barely registering that anyone else is there.

He's a little distracted, but at least he's in his own floor's common room rather than the fifth floor's. It's a start.

"This is Vladdie!" Rory said, smiling. "He's my vampire puppy. But he's just a baby and won't bite or anything, I promise."

Vladdie flew over to sniff curiously at Dean.

Rory waved tentatively, not wanting to distract the obviously-deep-in-thought guy.

Bridge blinks a little at the guy who... looks like Sam. But isn't.

"Hey," he waves.

"Yeah," Bridge does smile at that. And at Vladdie, because... puppy. "They all seem really interesting, and I'm a TA now!" there might have been the tiniest hint of a bounce at that.

Shawn took a break from his far-too-much-thinking state of mind to wave back, and offer a brief, "Hi."

"Hey, dude," Bridge offers a wave.

"For who?" Rory asks curiously. "And yay TA! You can come into our super-secret lounge now."

"Hey," Dean waved back. Ah, The Look. "I'm Dean. Not Sam. In case that's what you were wondering."

"Are you okay?" Rory asked. "You're all pensive-looking."

Dean offered his hand to Vladdie to sniffle, then scratched behind the puppy's ears. "He's adorable, seriously, though I'm not sure I'd ever let the Rory I know have a dog without fearing for its life," he said, grinning. "Huh. Vampire puppy? Does that mean he'll bite when he's not a baby anymore?"

Still marvelling over the encounter with Blair earlier, Dean went searching for people until he found them on the second floor. "Hey," he said as he came in and took a seat.

"Part of the vamp deal is that he's immortal. He'll always be six weeks old, even though at this point he's technically almost a year," Rory told him. "And you know it was totally my mom who's the curse of death with pets. The hamster wasn't my fault, and neither were the goldfish, no matter what she says."

Shawn nodded in greeting, "Hey." He turned his attention to the screen for a moment, "What're we watching in here?"

"No, I figured you weren't Sam, but the whole doppelganger thing is..." Bridge blinks again. "Dean? That's... kind of hilarious."

Alec wandered in after Hunting, seeking people and company. He dropped onto the couch with one hand raised in a vague wave, lazily cheerful. "Hi, room full of people."

Shawn snorted quietly in amusement, "Yeah, don't worry. I'm sure it'll pass."

He pushed all thoughts of unwanted powers from his head, smiled and added, "Don't think we've met. I'm Shawn."

"Aly," Bridge grins. "The Spying teacher. And I've been to the lounge," Bridge points out. "I was TA's assistant for Music."

"Hi, Dean," Rory said. Vladdie yipped a greeting. "Anything new and fascinating?"

"Hi," Rory said with a little wave. Vladdie, strangely enough, didn't fly over to greet him and instead yipped a bit insistently before resuming his playtime. "What's new?"
