4th Floor Common Room [Monday, After School]

Mac returned from school and took over the fourth floor common room in order to start some semblance of a cookie production line. She'd already ordered a whole load of supplies off the internet, so she pulled out the recipe Izzie left her and some funny shaped cutters, and carted it all down the hall with her.

She's now lying on her stomach on one of the sofas fiddling with some JAVA coding on her laptop while she waits for them to bake. The smell of banana-oat cookies is probably infusing the entire floor by now.

Lavender followed her nose into the common room.
"hey, Mac."

Lavender grinned. "Ohh I think I might be able to choke down one or two." She grinned. "What are you doing?" she asked looking curiously at the computer.

Lavender stared at Mac. "Uh I was with you until attempting and I have a vague notion of what a website is." She tried to remember what Cedric had showed her this morning.

"1996, yes. Uh Fandom is first place I've lived that reallyused electricity. I mean my parents house had it but we only used it if the neighbors came to the door and electrical stuff won't work at Hogwarts, my old school"

Jake was looking for free food and coffee, and she thought she had finally found it on the 4th floor. "Oooh, cookies! ...No coffee?"

[identity profile] courier-gavin.livejournal.com 2006-09-11 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Jake looked at her with wide eyes. "But that's terrible! There must always be coffee."

Jake was starting to wonder if it was time to be a guy again. She was getting tired of that question. "No, I'm Jake. I... Wait." She pulled out her cellphone and hit speed-dial. "Krycek? Yeah. There's an emergency, 4th floor common room. Yes. Take enough for lots. Thanks!"

She hung up and tilted her head at Mac. "Um. You were in CAS, right?"

[identity profile] courier-gavin.livejournal.com 2006-09-11 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shapeshifter," Jake explained. "So, do you think you'd want to join if CAS started up againn this semester?" She looked hopeful. "I've talked to Rory's mom and she says she'll sponsor us..."

Krycek came up to the 4th floor common room, carrying a large metal thermos full of fresh-brewed coffee. He sighed and placed it on the counter in the kitchen area, but it was really too late in the game to be bitching about where he came in the list of important things in Jake's life.

"Coffee's here for whoever wants it."

Jake beamed, and shuffled over, stealing a kiss on the way. "Best boyfriend ever!" she announced and poured herself a nice big cup.

"Of course," he agreed, smirking as he watched Jake until he could get a cup for Mac.

Jake sipped her coffee blissfully. Now the world was all right again. "Hey," she said, thoughtfully. "I'm thinking about turning back. What do you think?"

[identity profile] krycek-rat.livejournal.com 2006-09-11 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you want," Krycek said with some surprise. "Not really bikini season now anyway. But it's your call." He paused slightly before continuing, diffidently. "It'd be nice to see you again, though."

Jake's eyebrows went up a little. For some reason she was always surprised that Krycek seemed to prefer her default shape. It probably said interesting things about her psyche, but Jake wasn't particularly interested in knowing those very interesting things.

She sipped her coffee again. "...It's not like have winter clothes for girls anyway," she said, ignoring her collection of shiny credit cards.

"Sure," he said, grinning at the offer of cookies. "Cookies are always good."

He walks over with the full cup, bending down to hand it over. "Who did I get the coffee for exactly?

Krycek pursed his lips somewhat ruefully. "It's get coffee or hear him whine about it until I do. Self-preservation, really." He nodded to her as he stood back up. "Alex Krycek."
