The Salle, Monday, 4th Period.

Sakurazaki wasn't feeling very well after her Spies and Spying class; she knew precisely why, and she knew that working with her sword could possibly only perpetuate the feeling, but she figured it was better than moping around her room. So, Yuunagi in hand, she started working on her forms and minor wind attacks.

She wished Alphonse could be here; she could really stand to knock down some walls. Maybe she should have tracked him down before she came here. Or that Hitsuzen was open. Damn Tuesdays; she knew Yuuko would find something for her to do to keep her mind off things effectively.

Damn spying, damn demons, damn messed-up life. She sliced her nodachi through the air as if cutting them all to pieces.

Peter might not be quite up to swinging a sword yet, but he couldn't keep himself away from the salle. It needed care and polishing anyway, right?

When he entered, he stopped to watch Sakurazaki for a second before heading to the weapons locker, skirting the edges of the practice area.

"Good morning, Setsuna," Peter said. He reached to take Rhindon out of the locker, wincing a bit at the weight and the pull of the sword. Much more awkwardly than usual, he started to inspect it. "You looked brilliant out there. Really."

Peter shook his head ruefully. "A bit, yes. Did you hear about the fight on Saturday on the radio? I ended up with broken ribs." He closed his eyes for an instant half-amused, half-frustrated. "I thought if I came down here and took care of my kit, I wouldn't want to practice so much."

Peter flushed. "Yes, you're right. But it seemed better than nothing at the time."

He rolled his eyes at himself. "Now that we've established I'm an idiot. How have you been?"

He nodded, not inquiring at the pause. "I'm glad to see you as well. It seems like since classes started I've barely seen any of my friends." He tilted his head. "I forgot about that. Though I still say you didn't have to bring me anything."

Peter set down Rhindon before taking the other sword with the reverence it was due. "Oh, it's brilliant, Setsuna. Thank you so very much." He bowed to her then stepped back to look at it in full light. He unsheathed it carefully, looking at the blade with reverence. "Daichi? He's just beautiful."

Peter was vastly pleased by the name of the sword though he tried to mask it as just the tips of his ears turning pick. "It's perfect and lovely." He tried a few of the moves that she had shown him before, completely unable to resist trying the feel of a new sword.

He stopped quickly though, face tightening slightly at the pain in his chest. "You're probably right about that. He seems heavy even though he's lighter than Rhindon." He smiled, sheathed the sword and looked at her gratefully. "Thank you very, very much. I look forward to learning, Lady."

Peter took a second to think before responding. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," he said. "I do apologise. The formality seemed appropriate. Is there a more correct title I ought to use?"

"Don't be," Peter said, and he would have reached out to touch her shoulder if she'd just been a girl and not a warrior. "Missing home?"
