Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon

Bel had learned about football last fall. Now he was pleased it was football season once again. So he'd taken over the fifth floor common room and was camped out with snacks and drinks to watch the games that afternoon. Right now it was the New England Patriots versus the New York Jets.

He picked the Patriots to root for. No reason.

"Because we don't have football back in the Colonies?" Cally said. "And compared to Pyramid, this sport is played by steroid pumping wusses with too much padding?"

"I'll give you the too much padding," Bel said, nodding in agreement. "Be more manly if they didn't wear all that crap."

"You want to see the muscley guys wearing less? Color me not surprised."

Bel snorted and pointed out the scantily clad cheerleaders. "There's some eye candy for you."

"Eh, not my type," Cally said, smirking. "Unless you think any of 'em would actually be able to hold an intelligent conversation."

"Who cares what they're saying?" Bel said with a smirk of his own.

"Just keep their mouths occupied so it doesn't matter what they have to say?" Bel teased.

"Geeeeze," Cally said. "You should be ashamed."

Bel batted his eyes. "Least I'm honest," he said with a wink.

"Phoebe wasn't thinking anything like that last night," Bel said.

"Ewwwwwwww!" Cally grabbed a cushion and moved to thwack Bel with it. "T. M. I!"

Bel grinned. "You asked for it."

"I so did not say anything resembling 'Bel, would you like to tell me whether or not you frakked Phoebe last night?'"

"You keep insinuating that I don't and I'll have to keep correcting you," Bel said.
