Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon

Bel had learned about football last fall. Now he was pleased it was football season once again. So he'd taken over the fifth floor common room and was camped out with snacks and drinks to watch the games that afternoon. Right now it was the New England Patriots versus the New York Jets.

He picked the Patriots to root for. No reason.

"Probably," Luke agreed. "Why blowing planets up is a good idea or torture for fun and profit or something."

"Nah, I get the feeling it'll be more subtle," Bel said. "Or again with the pitchforks and torches."

Luke thought about it. "Vader's not known for subtle where I come from."

"Maybe he's looking forward to the lynch mob then," Bel decided.

Luke snickered. "Probably. The guy has a thing for destruction."

"Wonder how the administration will handle it," Bel mused. "I mean, if he deliberately provokes students to violence. . . or will they just blame the students? Gonna be interesting, that's for sure."

"Hopefully not in the 'and then everyone ended up in the medclinic' kind of way," Luke added.

"But that might be fun," Bel said, grinning.

"Depends who ends up in there," Luke decided.

Bel shrugged. "Won't be me," he said. "I'm hard to hurt."

"Demon thing?" Luke asked. "Or just lucky?"

"I'm tougher than a normal human," Bel said. "Especially when I'm in my demon form."

"That would come in handy," Luke said.

"Oh yeah," Bel said. "So, anyway, you been to Caritas yet? Anyone take you out drinking? Because that falls under Big Brother duty, too."

"No to both of those," Luke said, smiling. "But I'm up for it."

Bel grinned. "What's a good night for you, then?" he asked. "I'm free most nights."

"I don't have any classes on Thursdays or Fridays," Luke said, "but you have Ethics on Thursdays, right?"

"Yeah, but we could go after," Bel said. "Thursday is when Phoebe's working, too. We can get free drinks that way."

"Free is good," Luke agreed. "Who's Phoebe?"

"She's my girlfriend," Bel said. "She's great."
