2nd floor common room, afternoon

Jake was curled up in the couch with a huge cup of coffee and a sketchpad. Yesterday she'd been drawing pirates, and today she'd sketched a scene from Really Scary Stories, and was currently doing Sugar Kane faces while singing along to the singer, who was apparently getting marathoned on Music Video Channel. "Happy to be happy/Happy from my nose to my toes/--"

"Yeah, I guess. Only with espionage, if you stand out as an outsider, odds are good that you're even MORE likely to get shot."

Jake nodded. "This is true. But then it's not really the same job. Like, spies can hang around the same place for years and years, while couriers usually just pop in and out."

"No. Well, when I was twelve I wanted to be a barista," Jake admitted. "But then I realised that what I wanted to do was drink the coffee, not make it, so."

Well, sort of. In that she was pretty sure she'd qualify for entrance after she graduated, since she was also pretty sure that Roberto's training school was entirely unofficial.

Lord only knows how he got her off the charges, then.
