Gun Club, 12pm

Parker opened up the doors, and put up the Usual Notice.


SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE



Then she put on her ear and eye protection, and started practicing.

Seely unconsciously rubbed his hip. "My kid brother."

Parker noted that, but couldn't do more than wonder about it. "Oh. You startled me there, that's my boyfriend's name." Shaking it off, she said, "We don't have a competitive shooting team, but every once in a while we do have competitions, strictly intramural. You should show up for those." She frowned a little, eyeing him, and said, "Your father's a cop?"

Parker rolled her eyes at the snark, then studied him. "Hunh. Not what I would have pictured. But it does explain the shooting."

Parker cocked an eyebrow. "The military thing, maybe? Or some tough-guy type. Not anyone law-and-order, that's for sure."

"Hmm." Another touchy spot. Parker was starting to wonder if Seely was *all* touchy spots, once you got past the bravado. "Right. Have fun with the rest of your drill. I'm over there if you've got questions."
