Fifth Floor Common Room, Monday Morning

Cally did not have amazing culinary skills, nor a lot of money to splurge and buy enough food to feed an army. She did, however, have a box of Count Chocula, and had poured herself a big bowl before leaving it out for anyone else who wanted any.

She was in her PJs and slippers, because she could. Camped out in front of the TV, watching more Rainbow Randolph reruns.

"Friends come in all sizes..." she sang along between big bites of chocolatey goodness.

Nadia wandered in around second period, after her prophesy class.

"Hey, Cally."

"Hey," Cally said, with a little finger wave. "If you want some Count Chocula, there's some in the kitchen area."

Nadia wasn't entirely certain what that was, but decided to give it a shot. "So. What's up?"

"The opposite direction of down?" So what if she'd used that line yesterday. It was still funny. In a non-funny stupid way.

"Huh?" Had she gotten the phrase wrong?

River appeared in the common room, looking for breakfast. She gave Cally's bowl of Count Chocula a funny look, and began to fry some eggs.

"Hey River," Cally said with a hesitant wave. "You, uh, feeling okay?"

"Yes," River replied. "Just hungry. You?"

"I'm doing well," Cally said. "Definitely okay."

Yeah, she was more than a little scared of River, now.

River sighed and muttered something. She poked at her egg in the frying pan.

Nadia tensed as soon as she spotted River, but didn't say anything.

River glanced at Nadia, but hid her thoughts and feelings well.

Nadia made sure to keep an eye on River the entire time she was in the room.

River made a point of talking to Proty every time she walked past him.

JD strutted into the common room, did a bit of a spin and then plopped on the couch.

"What we watching?"

"Rainbow Randolph," Cally said. "You know, the old kids show."

"Neat. Don't think I've ever actually seen it."

"He's kinda creepy," Cally admitted. "But the show's pretty entertaining, usually."

JD grinned brightly.

"Hi Nadia. How are you doing?"

"I'm okay. Had my only class for today already, so it's time to relax."

Weiss popped in. He smelled chocolate. His body language is a more restrained glee from what he had last night and this morning. He's just very happy about everything.

Cally waved at Weiss. "You can help yourself to a bowl, if you like."
