In need of distraction, Isabel wandered out to the common and flipped on the TV, smiling when she saw that The Amazing Race was on. A cute Kiwi was the perfect distraction from her worries. She found a bag of chips in the cabinet, poured them into a bowl for sharing and settled down on the couch to watch the show.

"Hi!" Bridge says. "Teddy, right? You're in Criminal Justice and Spying with me."

Teddy looked down, more than slightly embarrassed.

"Yeah, and you're...um..." He trailed off and tried to not turn red, a losing battle. "Bridge?"

"That's me!" Bridge says. "Except for the time when Quinn said my name was Manuel or the time I was Cally but I haven't been renamed today or switched bodies with anyone so yep, just plain old Bridge."

Teddy blinked and briefly wondered about Bridge's sanity before remembering that this as Fandom.

"Does that happen often?"

"The body switching? Yeah, with alarming frequency. The renaming? Not so much, but there was an assignment and I was a slave for a week. I had to wear a toga."

"A toga?" Teddy muttered under his breath, brain breaking a little.

"This place just gets weirder and weirder."

"It really does," Bridge grins. "Not that where I came from was really all that normal to begin with- at least, compared to where *some* people are from, anyway- because growing up there meant it obviously seemed normal for *me*."

Teddy nodded, his home seemed kinda strange compared to some people, but pretty tame for the most part.

"Where are you from?"

"Newtech City, California," Bridge says. "If you haven't heard of it, it's probably because it doesn't exist yet. I'm from about fifteen years in the future."

"So, I'll hear about this place in a couple of years then?" Teddy asked.

"Probably," Bridge says. "It's got the biggest spaceport in America, so it gets a lot of through-traffic."

"Was travel between other planets commonplace before then?" Teddy asked, beginning to think this wasn't the same place as his home.

"Not... commonplace exactly? But the Kerovians helped us launch a space colony way back in 1999," Bridge says. "I get the impression that it didn't happen that way on a lot of Earths."

"Kerovians?" Teddy asked, now totally sure this was a different place. "No, I don't recall any alien race by that name on my Earth."

"Any Kree Jaffa! or Skrulls?" Teddy asked hopefully.

"Not that I know of," Bridge admits. "But they could still exist in my reality... maybe in the Lost Galaxy or something."

"Well the Skrulls I know are from the Andromeda system, if that helps," Teddy said. "But I've only found one person has even heard of them since I came here."

"Hmmm," Bridge says thoughtfully. "That's where the Edenoites are from, back home. So we probably don't have any Skrulls there."
