Bel was sprawled on the couch, remote in hand, flipping through the channels in search of something relaxing to watch. Maybe that would help settle his mood.

The Discovery channel documentary on hunting habits of wild animals was right out.

"Careful man..." Jamie said waggling his finger. "That kind of talk leads to all the girls getting boykissy-fever. And quite frankly you're not my type."

Tyler pouted. "I'm disturbed that you've put that much thought into what your type is, Madrox."

"Well you happen to missing a few body parts that I tend to enjoy," Jamie chuckled. "Plus you have one that I'm not interested in."

"...that may be more information than I needed," Tyler said. "So -- observe my ninja-like subject-changing abilities -- how are things with Marie? She doesn't seem too insane."

"Things are good," Jamie beamed. "Of course there's the no touching thing, but a relationship doesn't have to be all about the... touching."

"Maybe if you're planning to become a monk," Tyler said, being the master of taste and subtlety that he is. "But it's good you're happy, Brother Stickbug."

"Hey, I'm a happy guy!" Jamie replied. "And I consider it my job to spread the joy. In fact, I made all the teacher's happy last week."

"What sort of happiness?," Tyler asked.

If you thought he sounded supicious but amused? You would be very perceptive.

"Well I'm on the beautification committee..." Jamie said. "So what better way to make things beautiful then decorating the Teacher's offices?"

Tyler laughed. "That was you? I heard about that. Much appreciated, I'm sure."

"That was me. I hope everyone likes what I did. Some people were harder than the others," Jamie said kicking his feet up. "I have a feeling that skipping Ethics would be prudent this week."

Tyler facepalmed, though not without some admiration. "You're a brave man to keep poking at Vader."

"Deep down? The guy is a total pussycat. Really. He just needs someone like me around to keep things light," Jamie grinned. "My goal is to make him laugh before the end of the semester."

Tyler thought Vader was more likely to throw Jamie across the room, but he had to admire the guy for trying. "So the whole blowing up a planet thing doesn't bother you at all?"

"Pfft. He's just trying to scare us," Jamie said waving his hand. "Now if the guy could manipulate magnetic fields? Then I'd be worried."

"Electromagnetic fields are terrifying," Tyler smirked. "Seriously frightening stuff."

He may not have yet figured out exactly what that would mean.
