Fourth Floor Common Room: Sunday Morning

Joxer was asleep on a couch in the common room, snoring loudly and drooling onto the upholstery.

He'd definitely get no service, when he woke up. He had no shirt and no shoes on, not to mention no socks or pants.

That is correct. He was in naught but a linen loincloth. If there was even an emergency need for a horde of Madrox's to attack something with Lysol, this situation probably called for it. That couch never knew what was coming.

Mind you, Joxer himself wouldn't know what was coming, either. He'd managed to sleepwalk his way out here during the night.

So here he was, all asleep, drooling, and almost naked. Let's see what happens.

[ooc: Oooopen!]

Mac doesn't really function in the mornings without a good dose of caffeine. Which is why when she gets into the common room she makes a beeline for the coffee.

It's early, she's still not really awake. So it's not too surprising it takes her a few seconds to register the drooly, mostly-naked guy on the couch. Ew.

Maybe, if she makes enough noise opening and closing cuboard doors and clattering with mugs she won't have to poke him awake.

Once she'd made her coffee, and banged about as many cuboard doors as she can to absolutely no avail, Mac made her way over.

From there she just kinda stands and looks at him in distaste. Because drool? Doesn't get prettier the nearer you are.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not something she particularly wants to do, but Mac is beginning to realise she really has to wake him. She's not quite mean enough to just leave the guy there for ultimate humilation when more people come in.

As she's holding onto her coffee with both hands, Mac balances on one foot and pokes Joxer hesitantly with the other. It's not the most stable position, so she's just hoping he doesn't hit her or anything.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Unstableness, hot coffee, and half-asleep people not a good combo. It tends to leave you with said coffee all over your hands.

"Okay, ow." Mac put the mug down and tried again with the poking, a little less subtly now. This time with, "Hey, naked dude," for added wake-up effect, or so she hoped.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac snorted in amusement, "The better question? Who are you, and why are you naked in the common room?"

"Trust me, if this actually was your room I wouldn't be here," she added turning back to the table to pick up her mug. "I don't make a habit of hanging out in strangers rooms and watching them sleep."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hi." Mac smirked, totally starting to enjoy this. Making naked dude squirm, so amusing. "I'm Mac."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"So glad to hear that," Mac said, and so much feeling went into that single sentence. "No worries, it happens to the best of us."

She paused taking a sip of her coffee, "Why exactly are you... like that, here."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay," Mac said slowly. After a couple of seconds she added, "cause you know, that's usally the kinda thing you know."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac took a step backwards, away from Joxer. Weird illnesses are something she'd really like to avoid. "Generally when I go to bed, I wake up where I was when I went to sleep."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Apparently, not today," Mac commented.

She thought for a moment, "If it makes you feel better, I've ended up half-naked in common rooms before too. It's something about this school, I think."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"What exactly are you expecting to have done?" Mac asked, taking another sip of her coffee.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"That is so not comforting," Mac said. "Oh, you drool in your sleep, by the way."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, ew." Mac wrinkled her nose and added, "You might want to work on that little issue before you share a bed with someone."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac's never really had a problem with drool, but she can try and help out anyway. "Uh, learn to breathe through your nose? Sleep on your back?"

"You know excessive production of saliva can be a sign of some diseases," she added. "You might have an abcess, or strep throat or something."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac shrugged, "Depends. If you have mononucleosis you could end up with a ruptured spleen, or hepatitis."

"Have you eaten any particularly hot chillies lately?"

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not making you do anything," Mac said raising the hand that wasn't holding her mug in submission. "Just sayin', the drool is gross, and can kill you, or something."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"The clinic is unlikely to kill you," Mac said fiddling with the handle of her mug. "Doctors take a vow against doing that on purpose. It'd be breaking the hippocratic."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac raised an eyebrow at that. "Like what?"

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, picture her officially grossed out. She'd really rather not think about that. "Uh, first off, ew. Second? That's never been my experience. At all."

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
More ew, overshare.

"Uh, in the town clinic?"

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm trying not to imagine." And she really, really means that.

"It might be better this time?" Mac said hopefully.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you say so," Mac said shrugging briefly. It seemed to be what he wanted to hear. How sincere she sounded about it, is up for debate.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"That would probably be a really good idea," Mac agreed. She'd seen enough naked-Joxer to last her for a very long time.

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Mac waved at him as he left, and found herself a couch to lounge on. Definitely not the one that Joxer had drooled on.

After making a nest in the over hang in the big cave, and breakfasting on a cricket or two, Dragon!Billy emerged from the cave to investigate his surroundings.

A small, lizardy head poked it's way cautiously around the door frame to peer into the new chamber.
