Blair didn't have a sign today. Instead he was handing out a flyer to anyone in the hallway.

"Generally, when I get involved, people have been hurt or killed. Walking away just means more deaths."

"But on the whole, it's good advice. Especially for students who haven't decided to dedicate their lives to mur-" Blair stopped and coughed, trying to cover up his slip. "Hunting things! Dedicate their lives to hunting things."

"Everyone should know when to walk away," John agreed, "but they also need to know when they can't walk away. You're not allowing for that option."

"It seems to me as if you're teaching the other half of that country western song." Blair pointed over his shoulder at the hunting classroom door. "Did you miss the part about talking? That's what you do when you can't just walk away. Talk the problem over and hash out a solution."

"It's hard to talk to something that's trying to rip your face off," John pointed out.

"Ew." Blair winced. "That's a good...and rather disgusting...point. Is this an actual thing you're talking about or just a 'lets mess with the hippie by giving him unanswerable hypothetical situations' thing?"

"I can think of a few entities that have a thing for face ripping," John said easily. "I'm not saying there isn't a place for the steps you have here," he gestured with the flyer. "I'm just saying that there's a lot of times that they won't work at best, or will get you killed at worst."

"Well I'll just have to come up with more options for next week." Blair nodded.

"Hey, have you given any more thought to the guest speaker thing?"

"If you can have your friend contact me, we'll see."

"Yes!" Blair pumped a fist in the air and bounced. "I'll give him a call."

There was a quick fumble in his backpack and then he held up a tape of the latest episode of Spooky Things. "I thought you might appreciate this, man."

John looked at the tape Blair held out. "What's this?"

"Have you ever seen Spooky Things?" Blair asked, bouncing.

John stared at him. "I... don't watch a lot of tv."

Blair shook his head sadly. "Man, you need to get out more. Okay, this show involves people running around and hunting supernatural beings. Demons, monsters, the whole gambit. The show's right up your alley."
