The gym, Friday morning

Aeryn's in a much better mood than she should be, really. John can be really good for that sometimes. She heads down to the gym, starting in on the bag as a warmup, but she's not trying to kill it today.

Okay, just a little. But not too bad.

[For Luke. Also, I'm going to work soon, but feel free to use for all your gymly needs.]

"Morning," Luke said with a small smile as he came into the gym.

Luke nodded and smiled. "It was good to see friends from home."

He didn't realize he'd added a plural to the "friend."

Luke blushed. "Um, Ben was here too," he said. "Even though he's dead. He said it was a Jedi thing."

His eyes begged for Aeryn not to think he was insane.

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Luke smiled, relieved. "Fine, I guess. He didn't exactly stick around that long. Just gave me a quick lesson in Jedi techniques, said a few cryptic things and disappeared."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Luke nodded. "I wasn't expecting him, you know, ever again."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Luke was thinking along those same lines anyway and was glad not to address that issue. "Leia gave Rory instructions on how to do her hair like she does as a birthday gift," he said with a small smile. He held his hands up in fists over his ears. "It would look like this."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Luke shrugged. "Leia said it was based off of some famous Senator from Naboo back when there was a Republic."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Me too," Luke said, and meant it. "Do you need to kill the bag again this week?" he asked.

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Luke shook his head. "I think I'm not going to hurt anyone accidentally this week," he said.

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Luke bit his lip. "I don't like feeling out of control," he said, "and last week...was not great." The very act of admitting that put him about twenty years ahead of Anakin in emotional development.

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Figure out what the problem was and then try to fix it," Luke said with a small smile. "I talked to Rory."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Luke shrugged. "As well as it could. I'm not going to like the guy, but I'm pretty sure I won't like anyone who kisses Rory."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Luke shrugged again. "I didn't like him that much to begin with," he mumbled. "This isn't helping."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"He makes machines do weird things," Luke said, and he still didn't know why this upsets him so much. "Computers shouldn't make food. It's not right."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-28 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, like the messanger droids on the Death Star!" Luke chirped. "But they were black." He smiled. "I'll keep an eye out for it."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Luke giggled. "So can Artoo. It doesn't mean I want him to cook."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Luke nodded. "R2-D2," he said. "He's the astromech droid that normally helps to fly the X-Wing, but he can also crack comm equipment, break locks, and generally get into all kinds of trouble." He smiled. "He can't cook, though."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's why you shouldn't leave Ewan with time on his hands. Artoo is pretty handy," Luke admitted. "It's certainly a lot tougher to fly the X-Wing without him. He's the reason I survived the Death Star run at all, really."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Becuase running Artoo could be a fulltime jobThe techs back home wanted to run some diagnostics on it," Luke said. "He's pretty old for a droid and he got fried pretty good in the Death Star run."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good as new," Luke said cheerfully. "Probably better. I'm sure he's home annoying the protocol droid. It's his favorite hobby."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Threepio understands more than 6 million forms of communciation," Luke said. "But he's a bit of a worrier." He frowned. "Which is unusual in a droid. Most of them don't really get personalities."

[identity profile] tatooine-doofus.livejournal.com 2006-10-29 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Luke finally set himself into his defensive sparring posture. "A memory wipe tends to get rid of the more...bizarre things they've picked up. Han thinks a hydropsanner to the head will clear up the rest of them." He laughed. "So now Threepio stays out of throwing distance."
