Mac poked her head round the door, and finding it was actually people there and not anything she should be running away from she wandered in. You can't be too careful with this place on Halloween.

"Monsters and ghosts," she said flopping down onto another sofa. "Nice theme choice, very appropriate."

"Hey, Mac," Weiss said. "Yeah. I figured it was time to let loose with the video tape collection. I pick up this stuff at garage sales. You'd be amazed what you can find. Seriously. I have a tape back home called Aerobicide."

"Aerobicide?" Mac twisted to look at Weiss from the sofa and raised an eybrow at that. "Do I even want to know what that one's all about?"

"And hi, by the way," she added with a grin. "My methods of greeting can be a little lacking sometimes."

"Hey, at home, my brother says 'good morning' to me by pouring orange juice in my cereal. I accept all forms of greeting," Weiss said. "What've you been up to lately? How are things with uh... that one girl. With the hair."

"Well, no orange juice here," Mac assued him waving a free hand. She chuckled, "And I think you mean Cally. It's going great actually. Camped out in the park last night and roasted things, always a good time. How 'bout you?"

"Living the bachelor lifestyle. Freedom. Luxury. Boredom. I've given up on dating. All the girls here are either taken or emotionally unavailable. I am going to focus on being the absolutely Weissest Weiss possible from here on out."

"That's very... zen of you," Mac said leaning up on her elbow. "Isn't giving up totally on dating a little extreme though?"

Cally wandered into the common room. "Hey Weiss, Mac," she said. "What're we watchin'?"

Mac grinned and moved her legs so there was a space on her sofa if Cally wanted to sit. "Scary movie marathon, because what is Halloween without one of those?"

Eventually, Chad got up. Eventually, Chad wandered down to the common room to see if anything was going on. Scary movies? He could dig that. He lifted his hand in a wave to everyone before plopping down in his usual chair, the only one he felt safe enough sitting in.

"I'll make it work. Plus, with my luck, I'll probably get a girlfriend by not dating. Or something."

Cally, of course, sat down next to Mac on the sofa. "Less... scary?" Cally offered.

"Yeah, that. It wouldn't be quite inkeeping with the ambience without it them though," Mac said wriggling to get comfortable again. "Do you have Halloween on Caprica?"

Mac shrugged, "I tried that, and I got Cally. It all turns out well in the end." She smiled apologetically at him and added, "Sorry the dating thing didn't work out for you, though."

Mac smiled and waved back at the guy she didn't know from her sofa.

"Nope," Cally said. "Pretty much all of the Earth holidays we don't have. The closest we got is Colonial Day, which is kinda like an Independance Day."

"Earth is must be the only place where there's a holiday centred around going door to door and forcing people to give you candy," Mac commented.

Chad gave the girl a nod and a non-commital, conversations, "What's up?"

"Hey, free candy is always something I support," Cally said. "So hooray for Earth."

"What'chu watching? And who are you?" Alanna said as she began the quest for coffee and food.

"Halloween. Movies. Scaryness," Mac said succinctly.

"The candy is a high point," Mac agreed. "As is being able to mock the people wearing the really embarassing costimes."

Chad bobbed his head in a nod with each item. "All good things," he concluded.

"I'm Chad, by the way. Don't think we've met."

"We didn't exactly go really into the costumes thing this year," Cally said. "Which might be kinda lazy of me. But I'm kinda broke, so, what can you do?"
