The hallways, Monday afternoon

After Pop Culture, Pete roamed the hallways, humming to himself.

Then the humming grew. To mumbled singing.

Soon enough, he was rockin' out in the hallways, playing air-banjo and singing "American Music" by the Violent Femmes at the top of his voice.

[ooc: because the image of Pete Hutter singing the Violent Femmes while playing air banjo amuses me far, far, far too much, this post is open.]

"...Wow. An opera singer, you are not."

"I dunno. You're the one walking around singing at the top of his lungs."

"Ah. Americans. Truly, not the great songwriters of the world. Their national anthem is terrible."

"I dunno. How do you taste?"

Schrodinger shrugged. "Fine. You want the first hit?"

Schrodinger bounded to the right.

Pesky cat-like reflexes.

"Hey Pete! How you doing?"

JD came down the hall, his taxidrermied labrador under his arm. He was getting the hang of moving Laddie around, provided it was for short jaunts.

"His name's Laddie." He set Laddie down.

"Whatcha singin?"

"Yeah, modern music is awesome. You ever heard of Journey?"

[identity profile] girlsnamehere.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
"They're a lot more mellow. They've got, you know, style."

[identity profile] girlsnamehere.livejournal.com 2006-11-07 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Dude, ain't nobody got style like Journey."

JD sang, off key and in a frighteningly high voice.

"Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin anywhere"
