Outside Hunting class, 7th period

Blair was bouncing excitedly as he waited in front of the hunting class. Angel was in town and according to the radio, he had made it through the meeting with Mr. Winchester alive. Well, not alive but still breathing...or...whatever. There had been no killing and that was a good thing.

Such a good thing that Blair figured he should promote non-killing today as well and he waved his sign proudly.

Just Say No to Killing!
Please refrain from bringing sharp wooden objects to today's class

"There's nothing you can do about it, Blair," Bel said, perhaps sounding harsher than he intended. "Nothing anybody can do."

"Not like that's stopped me before." Blair muttered, a little hurt by the harshness of Bel's tone.

"I don't want you getting hurt for no reason," Bel said, softening a little.

"I...I'm not a big fan of that myself, man." Blair shook his head, now more concerned about what was going on. "Two things. One, you don't know that I'm going to get hurt. Two...if it's helping a friend out then it's not for no reason."

"This is bigger than you can handle," Bel said. "Bigger than I can handle."

"So don't handle it alone." Blair replied, ignoring the part about it being bigger than him. "Handle it with your friends."

Bel shook his head. "I don't know if there's anything anybody can do anymore."

"It's never too late, man." Blair reached out a hand to pat Bel's arm. "You can't just give up."

Bel winced, fumbling in his jacket pocket for his sunglasses because, man, the lights in the hallway were way too bright. "Haven't given up yet," he said weakly.

"Good to know, man." Blair nodded. "So when do you want to talk about it? I can meet you right after class? Or maybe tonight at Caritas?"

Bel shook his head. "I don't know. Don't know how much time I have."

"That bad?" Blair blinked. "How about right after class?"

"Maybe?" Bel said. "I don't know...right about now I feel like crawling in a hole and dying." He rubbed his forehead.

"How about we see how you feel." Blair said nervously, hoping Bel had time for that. "Maybe the headache tablets will have helped by then."

"Either that, or I pray for death," Bel mumbled. Something that seemed preferable to his current situation, hangover and otherwise.

"If the headaches not better by the end of class, find me and I'll figure out a way to get you dandelion root." Blair nodded, determined to help in someway.

Bel nodded. "Yeah, I'll do that," he said. He glanced at the classroom door. "I better get in and get a seat. In the back. Way in the back."

"Be sure to ask lots of questions during the lecture!" Blair bounced.

"I already know all I need to know about vampires," Bel said wryly.

"I know, man. I just think asking questions will be nice for him." Blair bounced.

"How about, 'how much hair gel do you go through in a week?'" Bel said, smirking a little.

Blair snickered and nodded. "He's supposed to be answering questions so you might as well go for the fun ones!"

"I'll see what everyone else has to say first," Bel said, heading for the door to the classroom. "I'll catch you later."
