2nd Floor Common Room [Saturday, Mid-morning]

Shawn has had one of those supremely lazy weeks, where it's almost like he's never left his room. It's made him feel like a total loser. In order to counteract that feeling, he's taking advantage of the weekend to slob out in the common room rather than his dorm and watch Enchanted re-runs. Because hot sisters fighting evil, never a bad thing.

He even brought breakfast. Food always attracts people, right?

His lack in cooking skills doesn't stop him from being able to supply enough poptarts to sink a battleship and coffee. Even he can't screw those up.

Chad peered at the screen over the rim of his mug as he sipped his coffee. Wearing that, indeed. "Why would you?"

Shawn grinned and shook his head, "No idea, man," and shoved another piece of poptart in his mouth. He washed it down with a large sip of coffee. "Plus, that one can blow things up, and damn is that cool," he said gesturing at the brunette on-screen.

Blowing things up was definately cool; Chad nodded in agreement. "Do the other ones do equally cool things?"

"Uh, one of them sees the future, and the other one moves things with her mind and a load of little blue lights," Shawn said. "They don't quite measure up really."He paused to watch the action on the screen for a moment. "You don't get his where you're from?"

"Uhh," Chad scratched his head. "Not that I know of. Didn't watch much TV. Didn't have it back home, and too much crazy shit on the airwaves in Japan..."

Shawn turned away from the TV for a second. He wasn't all that interested in the underworld scenes anyway.

"What gets counted as crazy shit? or do I just not wanna know about that?" he asked, continuing to nibble on the edge of a chocolate poptart.

Chad glanced over at him. "You ever seen Japanese television shows before? Anything, and everything, and usually animated with bright colours at breakneck speeds, man..." He shook his head a little It was too early to think about it, really.

"Can't say I've seen much in the way of Japanese TV," Shawn admitted. "It certainly sounds like and experice though." He munched his way through a bit more poptart before he continued. "Must make for interesting viewing at the very least."

"Yeah, and there's some good stuff. Like Carniverous Kingdom."

There may have been a bounce in there, as much as a guy like Chad could bounce. Chad liked Carniverous Kingdom. He had the whole boxed set, yo.

"Uh," Shawn raised an eyebrow at that, having never seen someone quite so large and monosyllabic bounce before. "So what exactly is Carniverous Kingdom?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

"Nature show, but with this puppet lion guy as host," Chad explained while munching a poptart. "It's awesome."

"Oh, well that certainly sounds different." Shawn kept the fact that it didn't actually sound all that awesome to himself. Chad was pretty big, and while he didn't seem all that scary, he sure as hell didn't want to get into any kind of disagreement with him. "Does Japanese TV have puppets as hosts often?"

Chad scratched his head again, then sipped his coffee. "No, but a lot of the guys who do host seem like puppets."

Shawn nodded, "I think that might be a universal thing with TV show presenters.They do tend to be a bit wooden and odd seeming sometimes."

"And small."

Because, really, that was Chad's main thought on the whole point.

"I'd have thought it's pretty easy to be small in comparison to you," Shawn said slurping at his coffee. "You're not exactly pint sized."

"Yeah," Chad agreed, also taking a sip of his coffee too, then holding out the mug after taking a look at it. He turned to Shawn and, deadpanned, "Gotta stop drinkin' this stuff, though, or it'll stunt my growth."

Shawn laughed and looked down at his mug. "True that." He shrugged and took another slurp anyway. It doesn't seem to have stopped him in the slightest. "Can't deny that it's good stuff though."

Another nod. "Damn good." Chad slurped signifianctly to emphasis his point.

Shawn smirked and nodded in agreement, then went back to watching the evil fighting sisters. Because they were there, and throwing kicks, and that was just hot.
