Cally was very contemplative. So far the reaction to her new powers weren't the rousing 'hurrah' she'd kinda hoped for.

So here she was. Popping individual kernels of popcorn, because she could. Plus, it was really helping with that whole focus and control thing.

Gelmoore Gals and Vanessa Saturn were on tonight, so those were sort of acting as a background to her popping efforts.

Anders bit his lip. "I hope people haven't been giving you grief about the whole show thing."

"Oh yeah, not at all," Bel said, rolling his eyes.

"It was your idea," Anders pointed out. "Still, I gotta thank you for the opportunity to have a very special first time."

"First time?" Bel repeated.

Anders could have elaborated, but that wasn't much fun. "Yup. I'm never gonna forget it, man."

Bel eyed Anders warily, going over what he knew of his history in his head. "First...Vegas show?" he asked.

Anders shook his head, grinning evilly. "Besides that."

"First...encounter with a vampire?" Bel pressed.

"Close, but not quite," Anders hedged.

"First what?" Bel demanded. It couldn't have been that because Anders and Conner...yeah.

Anders snickered. "First time I ever got to take out something that was trying to hurt one of my friends, man. That was kind of a high."

Well, the view had been kind of a pick-me-up too . . .

"I had the situation under control," Bel grumbled.

"Oh, something was definitely under control all right," Anders drawled, with that maddening smirk again.

Bel twitched a litle. And glared.

Anders smirked a little more, then blew a kiss at Bel, mockingly.

"Don't make me kick your ass," Bel growled.

"What if I like a good ass-kicking every now and then?" asked Anders.

"Then you're gonna love it," Bel said.

"Bring it on, then," Anders told him.

Bel raised an eyebrow. "Name the place."

"I don't care where it is, as long as it isn't in public," Anders said, still smirking.

"If you love it so much, why you trying to hide it?" Bel brought up. "Why not get to it right here in the common room?"

"In the common room," echoed Anders. "Witnesses could get both of us in trouble for that. Plus, you know, some people just aren't that comfortable watching that sort of thing happen."

"Fine," Bel said. "Behind closed doors then. So the question is when. Just make sure you won't have anything else to do for a few days, because you won't be walking when I'm done with you."

Anders shrugged. "I'm free after second period on Friday. I'll clear my schedule for the weekend then, why don't I?"
