Then she sat down at one of the tables, surrounded by old, thick, dusty, leather-bound books written in a variety of languages and selected one at random. It would help if Giles had given her anything to go on. What the heck counted as a minor apocalypse these days?



[ooc: Open to all. Dawn's *hugely* overreacting to the sign Giles left on Aeropaegetica. AFAIK, there is nothing coming that isn't already known about by someone--this is a non-starter, unless someone wants to throw clues in about their own upcoming plots. Otherwise, have fun making up weird prophecies.]

"You do a lot of this?" Lavender asked, wishing her Latin was better.

"More than I'd like," she admitted with a sigh, pushing her hair out of the way. "What about you? No weekly big bad?"

"Uh no we're more of an overarching big bad with war 'n' stuff," Lavender explained. "Plus I'm not the one who deals with it. That's Harry and Hermione and Ron."

"War?" Dawn blinked up at her, owlishly. "What kind of war? And there's only three people that fight it?"

"Well only three people our age," Lavender clarified. "And yeah, it's becomign a full fledged civil war, again. There are these wizards called Death Eaters who are killing non-magical people and the magical people who support them." Lavender shivered.

"Why?"

"They, the Death Eaters, think that Muggles, Half-bloods and so forth think they don't deserve to live, that they're inferior. They're like a very very powerful Ku Klux Klan." Lavender studied a sketching of a vampire.

"Okay, that sucks," Dawn turned a page very emphatically. "And are there good guys? I mean, other than your three...wait, Hermione? Like, Hermione, Hermione?"

"Hermione Jane Granger." Lavender affirmed. "And I guess Neville, Luna and Ginny were at the battle at the Ministry for Magic. And there are lots of grown ups fighting. Very powerful grown ups." Lavender bit her lip

"The actual government seems to only have caught on recently that these people were actually returning to power."
