The Roof - late Sunday night
It was cold out, but not the kind of cold that meant to stay indoors. It was more of the cold that was refreshing and conducive to a bored teenager on a Sunday night.
Kawalsky checked his supplies. Baseball bats? Check. Bucket of jello-filled water balloons? Check.
He picked up a bat and a balloon. He tossed the balloon into the air and hit it with the baseball bat.
Sure, it was going to make a mess, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up easy enough.

And blinked.
"Is that Jello?"

He picked up the bat, and -- after testing out the balloon's weight a couple of times -- threw the Jello bomb in the air and swung. The bat connected with the balloon with a squashy sounding FWOMP and knocked it off the school.

He returned in a moment with a length of wood. It may have been a chair leg. It was probably better not to ask questions.
He grabbed a balloon, threw it up and hit it with a resounding smack.
"Whoo! What's in these things?"

"Yikes." He glanced over at Kawalsky's baseball bat. "Fan of baseball?"

And there, also, were balloons. Being hit with a bat. He knew that might have been something else that brought him up her tonight.

Chad was one of those batters that held the position of the end of the swing for a while before settling back and seeing where it ended up, almost like a pose. Finally, he lowered the bat to his side, held his hand up to his eyes as if that'd help him see where the balloon ended up.
...Despite the fact that it only just splattered all over him and hadn't gone anywhere but all over his shirt.
