Second Floor Common Room [Thursday Evening]

Bridge hobbles out of his room for the first time since Saturday evening. Leaning the crutches against the arm of the couch, he curls up and starts aimlessly flipping through channels.

"I like to think so," Anders told him. Whew.

Stark grinned and nodded. "Well, why wouldn't you?"

"That's what I want to know," Anders said, happily seizing onto this thread of misdirection. "It would be dumb if I didn't."

"Yes. It would," Stark agreed. "So it's good you did. Are. Whichever."

"Yup." Anders nodded furiously. Maybe too furiously.

Stark eyed Anders oddly for a moment. "Right."

"Exactly," Anders insisted.

It wasn't that Stark had a problem with people repeating themselves. He did it often enough. But this was a bit weird.

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head this weekend? Or someone hit it for you?"

"Um, I got knocked down a couple of times, but my head's fine. Really."

"Okay. If you say so." Stark was going to continue with the odd look though.
