It had taken all night, but they'd finally cobbled together a device they hoped would work, and with Bridge's help Conner had tracked Mesogog down to his current hideout in the sewers. (Which was at least an easier place to get to than, say, a moonbase or an alternate dimension.) So now it was cleanup time.

Conner had left a few messages for people: Heard what you can do, and I could use your skills. Meet me in the lobby if you can come along? He had the transporter device with him, and his weapons -- well, they were in their dimensional storage pocket-thing, anyway, so pretty much ready. All that he needed now was the rest of the team. Maybe not the team he used to have, but in the end, he'd decided, there really wasn't that much difference.

[OOC: For my fight volunteers, primarily, but open if you want to wander through and go "WTF?" Handwave that you got the above message, or just happen by. "Wow." Shawn nodded, definitely impressed. "That definitely has more in the way of cool-factor than the deal I got," he said.

"Aw, I wouldn't say that," Conner replied, although he was kind of pleased with the whole deal himself. "There's been a lot of situations where it hasn't done me any good. "

"There's been situations where mine hasn't done me any good either," Shawn said with a nod. "Before I could control it, I almost killed a couple of people," he admitted.

He gave the plastic bag a skeptical look, "I really hope this holds."

"Dude," Conner said, "duct tape makes everything work."

Pause. Rewind. "Almost killed a couple of people?"

"It was before I came here," Shawn added quickly, as if that would make that little admission sound better. "And accidentally. I haven't done that in months."

Well, that was a little comforting. Sort of. "Here's to controlling your powers, huh?" Conner laughed.

"That's the way I like it," Shawn said. "Accidently healing people isn't so bad, accidently draining them, not so good."
