Fourth Floor Common Room - Sunday morning

Dean was in the kitchen, humming Christmas carols absently as he cooked breakfast that consisted of the bacon and eggs and French toast alone with the usual breakfast stuff. There was also egg nog along with the usual orange juice and coffee because hey, Christmas Eve Day.

In the lounge part of the common room, Hunter was avidly stalking and pouncing on and wrestling with an empty cut down roll that wrapping paper comes on. Dean kept one eye on him as he cooked.

He didn't know how many students were still hanging around, but he figured those that were would probably appreciate food. After all they always did.

"It's weird," Bel admitted. "I really miss my powers. But I'm getting used to it."

"If there's anything I can do to help, even if you just need to yell, come find me?" She offered.

"Thanks," Bel said. "How about some painkillers? I have a killer headache." He rubbed his temple. "Had it since Friday night and I can't get rid of it. The joys of being human."

She winced. "You've never had a headache before? Um, and I don't have anything up here. Want me to go back to my room and get some?"

"I've had 'em, just not this bad," Bel said. "I think I'm going to see Dr. Wilson about it anyway. I don't know if this is normal because of stress or something or just some side effect to being made human."

"Going to see Dr. Wilson's a good idea," she nodded, "but it may also just be an adjustment thing. Have you talked to Aziraphale? Maybe he'd got an idea?"

"Not yet," Bel said. "I just started getting them the other night and I haven't seen Phale since then. It's probably just stress due to finals and rescuing my father and having to meet Phoebe's grandmother. My body can't handle it like it used to."

"Wow, that's a lot. Have you been sleeping enough?"

"I think so." Bel frowned a little. "Weird dreams, though. I think. I can't remember."

"Yeah, talking to Aziraphale is all I've got in the way of being helpful." She chewed on her lower lip. "I don't know anyone who's been de-demoned before."

"Me neither," Bel agreed. "I guess it'll all be for the best in the long run. I've had some time to get used to it now. I miss my powers, but I'm free of the Underworld and everything now, which is good."

"That is good. And being human's not so bad." She smiled slightly. "I even kind of like it. I mean, being able to be honest with Phoebe's family is good, right? No more hiding?"

"Well, I don't know how happy Piper is with me these days," Bel said. "But yeah, no more hiding what I am." He suppressed a shudder. "Her grandmother is pretty deadly."

"I'm sure you'll be fine," she said, reaching out to pat him on the arm.

"It'll be for the best," Bel said, nodding, but it sounded like he was trying to convince himself of that as well.

"You'll see," Dawn said, not that she had any experience with that kind of thing.
