Roof, late Friday night, as the party in the stairwell winds down

Nadia had slipped away from the "we're bored" party a little while after talking to Chad to hunt down her bottle of fine, Trinidadian rum that she kept under her bed.

Said bottle had not been open when she grabbed it.

It was now below half-mast.

As such, Nadia was now standing on the corner of the roof, both arms stretched out with the bottle clutched in one hand, yelling random Spanish words at the sky.

Krycek snickered. "At least you have something to fall back on?"

Nadia looked behind her, and thus over the edge of the roof. "Not really. Unless you count many, many stories down."

"Not literally," he said dryly. "Maybe figuratively, in the sense of a willing body on the rebound?"

"That," Nadia enunciated very clearly, "would require Walter and me to break up."

Krycek shrugged. "It's nice to have options is all that I'm saying."
