Sam couldn't sleep anymore, even though she probably should have after her week at the Time Agency and in Cardiff. Her new little brother Peter seemed like a perfectly nice kid, which was reassuring.
Which didn't mean she felt the need to be social today. She turned on the CD player, ate a couple of chocolate covered espresso beans, and stacked some food on her work bench, which she'd hopefully remember to eat. Then she went to work on the Swoop Bike. It probably neededbabying tuning--she hadn't ridden it or worked on it in almost a month.
