Turtle felt as though her day had been very successful. She'd scoped out the town, gotten herself a job (starting tomorrow! How exciting!), and had picked up a total of two dollars and seventy two cents in change as she walked around the island. A very good day, indeed, especially since, she could tell from her handwavily grabbed copy of the Wall Street Journal that SEA hadn't continued to drop, and the one she was scoping had raised, but not enough that it wouldn't be enough for her SEA to fail to cover it in a few days. Looking pretty good!

Grabbing a bowl of cereal for her dinner, Turtle plopped out the couch, tucked her Journal beside her, and turned on the television. Now that she didn't have her mother restricting her TV time, she definately wanted to see what kind of channels they got here at the school.

"Balll-thi-aiiir," Turtle said with extra emphasis, then crinkled her nose a little. "Can't I call ya Balthi, or something? Your name's too long."

"Too long?" It baffled him slightly that his name was too long. "I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the concept that my name is two letters too long." It quite honestly offened him slightly, he was rather proud of his name. He was trying to remain polite about it though.

Turtle shrugged. She definately wasn't one to push a name issue. "Maybe it's just me. Balthier it is, then."

"Thank you, and beleive me that it is an infinate improvement over the name that I was born with," He explained and leaned back into the chair.

"I'll tell you a secret," Turtle said, looking around and leaning in, "Turtle's not my real name, either. But I feel the way you do. It's better than what I was born with."

Balthier chuckled and smiled at Turtle. "Rest at ease that your secret is safe with me."

"It better be," Turtle nodded, but the chuckle made her grin a little. "I don't wanna have to hurt you." Not that she thought she could hurt this guy, but she did have a pretty mean kick.

Oh and Balthier didn't like to be kicked, not at all. He grinned at her, throwing in some of his pirate charm. "Oh dear, well then I shall be sure to stay on your good side."
