Turtle felt as though her day had been very successful. She'd scoped out the town, gotten herself a job (starting tomorrow! How exciting!), and had picked up a total of two dollars and seventy two cents in change as she walked around the island. A very good day, indeed, especially since, she could tell from her handwavily grabbed copy of the Wall Street Journal that SEA hadn't continued to drop, and the one she was scoping had raised, but not enough that it wouldn't be enough for her SEA to fail to cover it in a few days. Looking pretty good!

Grabbing a bowl of cereal for her dinner, Turtle plopped out the couch, tucked her Journal beside her, and turned on the television. Now that she didn't have her mother restricting her TV time, she definately wanted to see what kind of channels they got here at the school.

"Fandom is weird. Lots of timelines. Lots of doubles who aren't related. Different versions of the same person. You'll get used to it." Parker cocked her head. "You took the 'in the past' part pretty calmly."

This kid was *so* not normal. Laughed at interrogations, asked about time machines... yeah.

Marco gave her a 'what can you do shrug'. "Wanna know why I'm into dinosaurs? Why time travel just makes me shrug? Why even the idea of different timelines doesn't break my brain? And why I'm oh so positive that I'm cutter than any alien?"

"Hit me with it," Parker said, voice deadpan, eyebrow raised.

Marco's grin? Still there. "I got chases by a T-Rex once. Been back to Washinton's time. Nearly drowned too. And let me tell you, you'd have to be pretty nuts to have been standing on a boat. And I was in a world where Hitler? Was a taxi driver who Rachel accidentally killed. Hell, been in a world where Rachel and I were dating. And I've met aliens. I'm cutter."

Parker cocked her head, smirking slightly. "Wellll, I don't know. Anders is pretty cute. For a guy from off-planet. Congrats on not-drowning, though. And how did you get away from the T-Rex, talk him to death?"

Marco laughed. "Wow, so you're psychic? That was totally my plan, until this other T-Rex attacked the first one. But I was doing fine even without his help!"

Jamie had to meet this kid. Between the two of them, there'd be no oxygen left in the room. "Glad to hear it. Because it's always good to have a back-up plan." She grinned. "So. The screenplay of Marco's Marvelous Mind-trip is going to make you rich, famous, and adored?"

Marco clapped. "Exactly! Except the title was 'Marco's Marvelous Memories'. Trust me, it's a page turner."

"I trust no one, but I'll definitely buy the book. Or see the movie." She grinned. "Especially if Pitt is playing you. Definite gate-appeal."

"And accurate." Marco pointed out, ignoring the part where he's part Hispanic. And barely a few inches past five feet.

"Of course," Parker said solemnly. "The only logical choice." She checked her watch. "Much as I'd like to discuss the advertising campaign with you, I have someone to call and torment long-distance. Catch you later, Marco." She got to her feet. "And hopefully you'll have seen more of our Island first-hand by then."
