Dick was sitting on the couch, watching old CFD re-runs. He also had a bowl of popcorn in his hand which was mostly un-burnt. And yes, he considered popcorn a valid meal. It was made of corn after all and corn was a vegetable!

Cassie was in a much better mood today than she'd been the last two days.

"Hey," she said with a little wave.

Dick turned his head to wave hello but instead looked at the girl and tilted his head in confusion. "Haven't I seen you before?"

"Ummm, maybe around?" Cassie said. "Cause I've found about a whole two people here who actually know who I am from home. My name's Cassie."

"Ever been in Neptune, California?" asked Dick "I'm Dick by the way."

"Neptune? No," Cassie said. "About the only time I've been in California it wasn't exactly for a vacation."

"Really? Can I ask what it was for?" asked Dick. He was still trying to think about where he's seen this chick before and he was drawing a blank. Which was normal for him.

Tannim had slept late, but he figured chocolate-chip pancakes (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1318196.html?thread=59517492#t59517492) worked just as well for lunch as for breakfast. He found a bowl in the kitchen and started making the pancake mix.
