The roof, Friday, early evening

Nadia lay flat on her back, staring up at the clouded sky, getting thoroughly damp in the half-hearted rain.

It wasn't warm, but it certainly wasn't cold, and the news she'd gotten about Wilson having woken up had her in a decent mood.

She was still troubled by the fact that the dream she'd gotten about what had happened had come far to late to do, she suspected, even a little bit of good, but she supposed that didn't matter, now.

So she lay on the roof, eyes half-closed to keep the rain from them, and let her mind wander.

Nova had to think about this. Was he adjusted? He just nodded, that being the simplest answer. He wasn't even sure what he would do when classes started.
