Dorm roof, Tuesday afternoon

River was dancing on the roof to some music that only she could hear. With surprising precision, considering her heavy boots, she performed the complicated choreography. She was smiling, but her eyes showed focus only for the dance. She had obviously taken care with her costume, wearing a bright pink dress, yellow tights, a hat with a feather in and the only piece of jewellry she owned, an opal pendant.

Dancing was such a good way to chase away bad dreams.

Pippi dipped River when she leaned back.

Just then she was thinking about how she told JD to find River and see if she could teach him how to talk to squirrels. And how she hoped JD wouldn't be corrupted by the squirrels.

"Are you still having them?"

River's eyes went scared for a moment. "Yes. Dancing helps."

Standing up again, she asked: "Who is JD?"

Pippi wondered if River should go see somebody who can help with such things, but she doesn't know who is or isn't... brainy like River. However, River said dancing helps so...

Pippi pulled River back up and turned her a couple of times.

"JD lives on the 5th floor... He's that guy who got everybody to paint the mural on the wall opposite Proty. He wants to talk to squirrels."

And he has a journal with a unicorn on it!

River giggled. "Can't talk to squirrels. But I could talk to JD."

Dancing with Pippi was good help.
