Cally was doing her fair share of contributing to the free consumption of mass quantities to the masses.

She was baking vegan sugar cookies. And dancing a little dorkily to the tune 'Even Rats' by The Slip.

Mac doesn't have class until this afternoon, so she made the most of a lie-in. Eventually she did make her way down to the common room, all wrapped up in the blanket (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/blankets/574a/) Pippi had given her. Because she's cold.

She watched Cally's dancing for a minute with a little grin. Dorky dancing, very cute.

Cally looked over and saw Mac watching her.

So she wandered over and gently bopped her on the nose with a dough covered wooden spoon.

Mac wrinkled her nose, and went to wipe the dough off it. "Morning."

"Morning," Cally said. "Sleep well?"

"Well and for a good long time," Mac replied tugging the blanket which was slipping off her shoulder back up again. "Not having morning classes, is so the way forward."

"Yeah, I kinda fail at that," Cally said. "I'm baking cookies."

"Ooh." Mac grinned. "What sort of cookies?"

"Vegan sugar cookies," Cally said. "Emphasis on the sugar."

"I like the sound of that already." Mac decided at that point, that going for the dough covered spoon for a taste of mix pre-baking might be a good idea.

"I figured I could share, and stuff," Cally said. "Cause I'm nice and all that."

"All that, plus more, and you make good cookie batter," Mac said. "Which I'm assuming will probabably make even better cookies in the end."

"Hopefully," Cally said. "You can thank Piper for my baking skills. In person, even, tommorow."

"Summer workshop?" Mac asked using her finger to collect a bit more batter off the end of the spoon. "Or does the knowledge just kinda radiate from her person?"

"...Yes," Cally replied.

"So... you gained baking skills via osmosis," Mac said slowly. "Okay then."

"Well, for it to osmosis, liquid would-- okay, not going there," Cally said. "I took her workshop."

"Somehow, having absorbent abilities would've been more fun," Mac mused. "Piper did good with you, though," she commented.

"Thanks," Cally said, and leant over to give Mac a quick kiss. "All packed?"

"Kinda," Mac said. 'Kinda' covers a lot of things, like maybe a bag on her floor that was ready for packing, but didn't actually have anything in it yet.

"I figure I've got time to finish of shoving things in an overnight bag later."

"True," Cally said. "Apparently Cam's gonna come with us, now."

"Really?" Mac said as she made her way to curl up on the nearest couch. "That's quite a last minute decision."

"Apparently Veronica got, umm, attacked somehow, last night," Cally said.

That definitely woke her up. Mac stared at Cally for a moment, before coming to her senses enough to blurt, "Wha-- is she okay? What happened?"

"She's okay... and that's literally all I know," Cally said.

"Huh," Mac sighed, just a little frustrated at a lack of details. "Well, thank god for the being okay part. I can see why he'd want to get out there to see her."
